How I Help
Understanding Yourself
Sometimes it can be hard to understand why you feel the way you do, why certain patterns keep showing up, or why things that seem manageable for others feel harder for you.
Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself, including your emotions, relationships, needs, and the ways your nervous system shapes how you move through the world.
For neurodivergent adults, including autistic and ADHD adults, therapy can also be a place to better understand how your brain, sensory needs, emotions, and relationships intersect.
Strengthening Relationships
Relationships can become stuck in patterns that neither person intended. You may find yourselves having the same arguments, misunderstanding each other's intentions, or feeling increasingly disconnected despite caring deeply about one another.
Together, we'll slow down the cycle, get curious about what's happening underneath it, and find new ways to communicate and understand each other. For neurodivergent couples, this can also mean making sense of differences in communication, sensory needs, emotional regulation, and the ways each person's nervous system experiences the relationship.
Starting Strong Together
Premarital therapy isn't just about preparing for a wedding. It's an opportunity to slow down and intentionally build the relationship you're hoping to carry into marriage.
We'll explore communication and conflict, expectations, family dynamics, finances, intimacy, division of labor, and the patterns you may be bringing with you, so you can enter this next chapter with greater understanding and a stronger foundation.
For neurodivergent couples, we can also explore the particular ways your brains, bodies, communication styles, and nervous systems shape the relationship, so you can build a marriage that works for both of you.
Parenting with More Support
Parenting can ask a tremendous amount of us. Sometimes we need a place to talk about the overwhelm, depletion, uncertainty, and complicated emotions that come with trying to care for everyone while still finding room for ourselves.
Therapy can help you understand your own patterns, respond differently when things get hard, and find approaches to parenting that feel more sustainable and aligned with your values.
For neurodivergent parents, including autistic and ADHD parents, parenting can come with its own particular challenges around sensory overwhelm, emotional regulation, executive functioning, and the demands of family life. Therapy can offer a place to understand those experiences and find approaches that work for your family.
Parenting a neurodivergent child can bring its own unique challenges. If you're parenting an autistic, ADHD, or AuDHD child, or a child with a PDA profile, you may find yourself navigating sensory differences, intense emotions, executive functioning challenges, school concerns, and a level of demand that can leave everyone feeling overwhelmed. Therapy can offer a place to make sense of what's happening, understand your child's needs, and find more sustainable ways of supporting both your child and yourself.
