Couples Counseling for Finding Your Way Back to Each Other
When you love each other but keep getting caught in the same arguments, misunderstandings, or patterns of disconnection, it can be hard to know how to find your way back. Couples counseling offers a place to slow things down, understand what's happening underneath the conflict, and build a relationship that feels safer, closer, and more like a team.
Is Couples Counseling Right for You?
Couples come to therapy for many different reasons. You might be trying to recover from a difficult period, struggling to communicate without falling into the same arguments, or realizing that the relationship has become more about managing problems than enjoying each other.
You may be preparing for marriage and want to build a strong foundation, navigating a major life transition, or trying to reconnect after becoming overwhelmed by work, parenting, stress, or other demands.
Sometimes there isn't one big problem at all. You simply know that something feels different between you and you'd like support before the distance grows.
RECONNECTION & REPAIR
Understanding each other and finding your way back.
Relationships can lose their sense of closeness after hurt, disconnection, or difficult seasons. We'll work toward understanding each other's experiences, repairing ruptures, and finding your way back to one another.
COMMUNICATION & CONFLICT
Understanding the cycle and finding new ways to communicate.
Learn to recognize the patterns that keep conversations from going where you want them to go and develop more effective ways of communicating.
Neurodivergent Couples
Making space for different brains, bodies, and nervous systems.
Explore how autism, ADHD, AuDHD, sensory differences, executive functioning, and different nervous-system needs can shape the relationship, and discover approaches that work for both of you.
What Can We Work On Together?
Couples counseling can be helpful when you’re feeling stuck in patterns that are difficult to change on your own. Together, we’ll look at what’s happening beneath those patterns and work toward meaningful change. We might work on:
Communication & conflict
Understanding recurring arguments, learning to slow down difficult conversations, and finding ways to express needs without getting caught in the same cycle.
Reconnection & intimacy
Rebuilding closeness after periods of disconnection, navigating changes in intimacy, and finding your way back to feeling like partners rather than opponents.
Life transitions & stress
Adjusting to changes in parenting, work, family, health, or other demands that can put strain on a relationship.
Neurodivergent relationships
Exploring how autism, ADHD, AuDHD, sensory differences, executive functioning, and different nervous-system needs may affect the relationship, without treating neurodivergence itself as the problem.
Premarital counseling
Creating a stronger foundation before marriage by talking intentionally about communication, conflict, expectations, family dynamics, finances, intimacy, and the life you're building together.
A Place to Slow Down and Understand Each Other
Couples therapy isn't about deciding who is right or wrong. It's about creating enough space to understand what's happening between you.
We'll slow down the cycle, get curious about each person's experience, and work toward communication that feels more honest, connected, and possible. My approach is attachment-informed, systemic, and neurodiversity-affirming, with attention to the ways your individual histories, needs, and nervous systems shape the relationship.
The goal isn't to make you agree on everything. It's to help you understand each other better and build a relationship that works for both of you.
